Livestock Orders (Fish, Invertebrate, and plants)
- Live Arrival Guaranteed: Tamed Waters guarantees all livestock arrives alive. Shipping costs/processing fees are not refundable.
- No Returns: Make your selections carefully. We do not accept returns of any kind.
- Stock Photos: Website photos are stock photos of our fish. There can be quite a bit of variation in patterns and colors of fish. With that being said, we try our best to keep the website updated with as accurate pictures of the current group of fish as possible.

- DOA Policy
- Our goal is to ensure that our live animals/plants arrive to you alive. We take this extremely serious. However, occasional issues can happen.
- We expect customers to be home for the delivery of livestock orders.
- We highly recommend recording an unboxing video as this will help give us a precise explanation for any issues that did arise.
- Video and detailed pics must be sent to our email within 1 hour of the tracking info saying the package had arrived. (phil.tamedwaters@gmail.com)
- Why such a short time period might you ask? We guarantee our fish alive under reasonable conditions. If a package is left at a doorstep for some period of time in the middle of winter, this would be detrimental to tropical fish even with our top quality packing skills. We use packing methods and materials that will get them to your door safely. However, even with a professionally packed box these live animals are not meant to sit out on a cold winter day.
- We do not provide refunds for DOAs but we do provide 100% store credit for that item. If live stock are purchased in a group, the DOA store credit is redeemable for each individual item. For example, if you ordered a trio of guppies and one guppy was DOA, you receive store credit for that single fish. Not the entire trio.
- Customer must pay the shipping charges on any DOA refunds we are sending to you.
- Policy Adherence
- If the recommended policy above is not strictly followed, we will not take responsibility for covering ANY DOAs.
- Shipping Schedule
- We ship out all orders Monday-Wednesday using USPS Priority. UPS Express shipping will be available soon and likely our primary shipping carrier. Absolutely NO shipping Thursday-Sunday to protect the safety of our livestock.
- Hard goods are sent out standard shipping and usually arrive in 3-7 days.
- Orders may be delayed at our discretion due to extreme weather, health issues and supply issues.
- Additional Considerations
- YOU are responsible for the wellbeing of the livestock we send you the second it arrives alive and well.
- Ensure you have a cycled well established tank.
- Make sure your current tank mates are compatible with the livestock we are sending you (especially shrimp).
- Make sure the desired water parameters, temperature etc. for the species of aquatic animal you ordered is similar to your current tank set up.
- After you receive your livestock from us:
- As tempting as it may be, do not feed the livestock you received from us for 24 hours.
- We recommend you feed the existing fish in your tank well before you add your new livestock to the tank.
- Shipping can be stressful on livestock. Many fish will show up with minimal color, give them 1-3 days to color back up.
