Description
24K Golden Back Shrimp (Neocaridina davidi “24K Golden Back”) are a premium, vividly colored freshwater dwarf shrimp prized for their bright metallic gold hue and distinctive dorsal stripe. They’re one of the most striking variants of the Neocaridina davidi species, bred for intense coloration and clarity.
✨ Description
These shrimp feature a brilliant golden-yellow body with a solid, metallic “golden back” stripe running along the top from head to tail. Their color can range from a warm yellow to a deep, shimmering gold depending on genetics and lighting. Females tend to display richer coloration and a more defined dorsal line, while males are paler and more translucent. Adult size averages 1–1.25 inches (2.5–3 cm).
🌿 Care
Like other Neocaridina shrimp, 24K Golden Backs are hardy and beginner-friendly, provided water parameters are stable and free of ammonia or copper.
